Apple: Report Quad-Core iPad3 With LTE Coming Next Week

Apple next week will hold an event in New York to unveil a quad-core iPad 3 with 4G LTE wireless capability, CNBC is reporting in a Tweet and on the air. The report is attributed only to sources.

There have been previous reports that the company would be holding a product launch event next week; it would be a little unusual to hold such an event in New York. The company traditionally does product launches in San Francisco or on campus in Cupertino.

AAPL is up $6.02, or 1.2%, to $531.78.
